Valheim is an upcoming survival and sandbox video game by the Swedish developer Iron Gate Studio. Coffee Stain Studios published the game, and it is available on early access since February 2nd, 2021, for Windows and Linux on Steam.
How to Use Cheats and Console Commands in Valheim
To use cheats in Valheim, you must use a console command that enables them.
How to Enable Valheim Cheats
- To get started with cheats in Valheim, you must bring up the game's developer using F5 console and use console commands.
- Next, enter “imacheater” to enable Valheim cheats. As with many competitive games, the cheats will only work in single-player mode. Note: To turn cheats off, just type “imacheater” once more in the console command box.
How to Spawn Items, NPC & Enemies in Valheim
To spawn items through the console command cheat, you must first enable cheats by typing “imacheater” as we explained in the prior section. Once you have successfully enabled cheats, you will need to use the following code to spawn any item that you specify:
- spawn [item] [quantity] [level]
For instance, you can spawn 100 Amber using:
- spawn Amber 100
Note: Using item spawn commands, especially in large quantities, may introduce bugs and glitches to your world. Use the spawn command at your own risk and with measure.

How to Enter Debug Mode in Valheim
The “debugmode” command will allow you to experience the game like Minecraft's Creative Mode. Valheim's debug mode allows you to enter flying mode, kill all enemies in an area, and even free repairs and unlimited placements of items.
- Z – Pressing Z while in Creative Mode will allow you to enter Flying Mode.
- K – Pressing K while in Creative Mode kills all enemies in the area.
- B – Pressing B while in Creative Mode will allow you to free place items in your world and repair them without a Workbench.

- god ? Enables God Mode, which makes your character invincible.
- ghost – Enables Ghost Mode, which will make enemies ignore you.

- puke – Resets your character's hunger and restores default health and stamina.

Valheim cheats for time:
- tod [0-1] – Sets time of day. 0 and 1 are both midnight. 0.5 is noon.
