A few days ago Nvidia revealed the brand new RTX 3090 Ti, which is their new flagship graphics card. Compared to the regular RTX 3090, the Ti version offers 7.7% faster memory and 11% more teraflops, of course, the same is not the case with the price, as the figure is much, much higher there.
So what is the price? Nvidia had chosen not to initially reveal this detail in the official card presentation, and we probably now understand why. Specifically, a European store, toppreise.ch from Switzerland, posted listings for various custom implementations of MSI and the price listed is dizzying. Making the comparison with the plain 3090, the Ti version is up to 66% more expensive!
RTX 3090 Ti Price
Nvidia has not released an MSRP for the RTX 3090 Ti, but Videocardz has revealed some board partner prices. In the information, MSI's RTX 3090 Ti Gaming X Trio comes in at $3,571 USD, while its top-end Suprim X could cost a whopping $4,497 USD.

Obviously, the new RTX 3090 Ti will feature better specifications than the original, but there are some notable differences under its hood. In addition to its 10,752 CUDA cores, the GA102 GPU has 256 more than the base model.
According to a leaked spec sheet, the MSI Suprim X variant will deliver GPU base and boost clock speeds of 1,560MHz and 1,860MHz, respectively.
Additionally, Nvidia's new flagship features a new memory configuration, replacing 24 1GB chips with 12 2GB modules. When it comes to VRAM, the RTX 3090's pack 24GB of faster GDDR6X Micron memory with 21GB/s speeds.
MSI's spec table also suggests a powerful GPU, as it lists a 480W TDP for the GPU. Furthermore, the company appears to recommend using a 1000W power supply connected via three 8-pin connectors. If you're planning to make the switch, you might want to keep in mind that the Non-Ti RTX 3090 requires an 850W power supply.
RTX 3090 Ti Release Date
Nvidia told us we'd hear more about the RTX 3090 Ti near the end of January at CES 2022. Tweaktown, however, reports that the green team recently asked AIB partners to pause production of the GPU, indicating that a delay is likely.
There hasn't been an official announcement on the postponement, but insiders say BIOS and hardware issues are responsible for the delay.
