Disney Plus is experiencing worldwide issues on all apps and devices, as it seems. Disney Plus “service unavailable” reports are on the rise, with thousands of Disney+ users experiencing problems. Fans of the Disney streaming service have reported getting an error 42 message today.
According to the Down Detector outage map, the Disney Plus users in the UK and US are among those affected by today's service issues.
As the reported outage surfaced, users took to Twitter to tweet about the problems they were facing. Disney+ subscribers tweeted out pictures of “unable to connect” error screens they were being greeted with.
On TV apps, you’ll know Disney Plus is down by the blue screen, usually with a general “service unavailable” message. If you are getting something different, be sure to check out our Disney Plus error codes guide for more information on specific errors and how to fix them.
You can also contact Disney Plus Help on Twitter. You can also visit their Help Centre and search for your error code, or email them using the address DisneyPlusHelp@Disney.com. As a last resort, contact their (US-only) customer service number: 888-905-7888
Update: The issue seems to have been fixed, though, so it was something of a false alarm – with the service going back to normal at around 4 pm GMT / 11 am ET / 8 am ET. If you were in the middle of a Disney Plus streaming session or planned on watching one of the many Disney Plus movies and Disney Plus shows later today, you should be able to continue as intended.
