It is in this format that the child begins to fondly check what he has learned, think, invent, think and plan.

“Telegrams”

Students choose a word for each letter of which you want to come up with a part of the telegram. The first letter will be the beginning of the first word, the second – the second, etc. For example, chose the word “poem”. Then the telegram can be the following message: “The camel is called Red Shamko.” Another round of the game is adding genres. Each player is given the task to write not one, but several telegrams from the same word – business, congratulatory, romantic (the types of messages are agreed in advance). The telegrams are read aloud, and then the next word is chosen.

How does it work?

Helps develop imagination and increase vocabulary.

“ABC”

Divide the children into groups of four. Give each group four letters. They should be different for each team. Task: for three minutes, children should invent and write as many words as possible that begin with these letters. After the allotted time, the children read what is written, and the class counts whose team did the best. The winners are those who remembered the most words.

How does it work?
Children learn to perform tasks in situations of limited time, work in a team, be creative and listen to each other.

“Find items”

It is advisable to play this game before the end of the lesson. Form four groups of children. Give each group a piece of paper with the color written on it. For example – gray, red, blue, green, orange and yellow.

Each team receives a color that is different from the colors of other teams. Task: in three minutes to bring items of the color indicated on the card. It is good to determine in advance the place for things in the classroom for each group. You can sort them by the corners of the room. This will avoid confusion and save children time. The winners are those who have the most items.

How does it work?

Students learn to distribute roles, to distinguish things according to certain criteria, to work together on one task. The game allows children to move and change learning activities.

“Yes, of course, if…”

Invite students to stand in a circle. Everyone mentally invents a question to which the most obvious answer will be “No”. For example: “Can it be hot in winter?”, “Can I eat at home?”, “Move across the ocean?” One of the students starts the game by saying the name of someone in the circle to whom the question is assigned. The second student’s task is to give a positive answer and explain why it is real. Options: “Is it possible to move the house yourself?” – “Yes, of course, if it is small and made of chocolate!”, “Is it possible to do something extraordinary today for the whole class?” “Yes, of course, if we find half an hour after school.” Do not limit students’ answers. This will allow them to approach the task creatively and answer incorrectly without fear. Emphasize that there are no correct answers in this game.

How does it work?

The game develops the ability to quickly and creatively come up with non-standard answers instead of the ones that seem obvious. This gives students the opportunity and space to look at things from a slightly different, broader angle. And yet – reduces the level of anxiety of students in the classroom and provides a change of activities – from learning and play.
