Once you reach Level 12 in Project Slayers you can train to acquire one of the available Breathing Styles: Water Breathing, Thunder Breathing, Insect Breathing, and Wind Breathing. Now, just like in Demon Slayer canon, you can train your Breathing to grow stronger, until you eventually reach the point where you can control it at all times, even when asleep. This technique is called Total Concentration and it's something all Hashira can do.
Something similar is available for Demon Slayers in Project Slayers to level their up their Breathing
How to Train your Breathing in Project Slayers

In Project Slayers, you can train your Breathing or become a Stronger Demon. You can do the former by heading to Butterfly Mansion and breaking gourds (You can check our Project Slayers map to locate it). This is similar to Demon Slayer canon, in which Demon Slayers would breath inside such gourds and break them.
Meanwhile, Demons have to kill Civilians and Human or Demon Slayer players to raise their Demon Power.
There are three available Gourd sizes in Project Slayers: Small, Medium, and Large.
You will have to spend Wen to purchase Gourds to break, so let's first list all the Gourd Prices and the Breathing Points they provide:
Gourd Size | Cost | Breathing Progression Points |
---|---|---|
Small | 200 | 3 Points |
Medium | 450 | 10 Points |
Large | 700 | 36 Points |
I'm not sure how the progression works here but I think you start at Level 1 (Weak Lungs). To raise your Breathing Level to 2 (Strong Lungs) you are going to need 180 points, then you will need 360 points to raise it to Level 3 (Total Concentration), and 540 points to raise the bar to the a maxed out Level 3. At least this is my understanding of the progression bar below. I don't know what happens when you reach 540/540 and whether there is a Level 4 or not.
My understanding is that you are going to need only the first 180+360 Points right now to get to Level 3 (Total Concentration). Filling up Level 3's bar does not seem to have any effect right now.

How many Gourds do you need to reach Total Concentration (Breathing Level 3) in Project Slayers?
At the moment you don't really need to max out your Breathing Bar, as there is no benefit to it. You only need to reach Level 3 (Total Concentration), which requires 540 Breathing Points. To do that you are going to need:
- 7 Small Gourds
- 7 Medium Gourds
- 13 Large Gourds
Total Cost: 1,400 + 3,150 + 9,100 = 13,650 Wen
Below you will find the complete breakground on maxing out your Breathing (going 1080/1080, which currently provides no benefit).
How to Max out your Breathing in Project Slayers (Level 3 540/540)
Firstly, it is important to note that you will have to buy 7 Small Gourds to unlock Medium Gourds and 7 Medium Gourds to unlock Large Gourds. Now, to max out Breathing you are going to need 1080 points in total.
If you were to spend Small Gourds to do that you would need 360 Small Gourds, which would cost you 360 * 200 = 72,000 Wen.
To reach Level 3 (Total Concentration) you would need half of that, 36,000 Wen.
If you were to spend Medium Gourds you would first have to buy 7 Small Gourds (21 Points & 1,400 cost) and then get the remaining 1059 points from Medium Gourds, which is around 106 Medium Gourds. The total cost would be: 1,400 + 106 * 45- = 47,000 Wen.
To reach Level 3 (Total Concentration) you would need around half of that, 23,500 Wen.
Finally, if you were to use only Large Gourds when you unlock them, you would need 7 Small Gourds (21 Points), 7 Medium Gourds (70 Points), and 1009/36= 28 Large Gourds. The total cost would be 1,400 + 3,150 + 19,600 = 24,150.
To reach Level 3 (Total Concentration) you would 13,650 Wen.
As a result, using Large Gourds is by far the most cost-efficient way to max out your Breathing or Demon Power. Don't waste your Wen on Small and Medium Gourds once you unlock large ones.
Breathing Level Perks (Lung Capacity & Breathing Bar Regen)
This is how your capacity changes as you level up:
- Level 1 (Weak Lungs): 75 Breathing Points (You lose Breathing Points once you stop pressing L)
- Level 2 (Strong Lungs): 95 Breathing Points (You stop losing Breathing Points once you stop pressing L)
- Level 3 (Total Concentration: 115 Breathing Points (You regenerate Breathing Points/s without pressing L to Breathe).
Reaching Level 2 starts making Breathing more than just a gimmick. At level 3 you will start fully unleashing your Demon Slayer's Breathing potential.
How can I view my Breathing or Demon Progression?

Sadly, you will have to purchase the Progression Viewer Gamepass for that, which costs 200 Robux.
However, keeping track of the 7 Small, 7 Medium, and eventually 28 Large Gourds that you will need to buy in total is quite simple to keep track of your progress.
- To reach Level 2 you are going to need: 7 Small, 7 Medium, and 3 Large Gourds (199 Progression Points out of 180 required).
- To reach Level 3 you are going to need another 341 Progression Points to reach 360 in total. That's 10 Gourds for a total of 360 points. (379 Progression Points out of 360 required.
- To max out your Breathing progression you are going to need another 15 Gourds (559 Progression Points out of 540 required). Once again, this seems unnecessary right now.
Breaking the numbers down make it easy to track when you have reached each Level in Breathing. You will also notice that you level up because your Lung Capacity will increase!
