All Pokemon Go Raid Bosses & Events Available in August 2021

July is here, and with it, we have a new list of available Pokemon Go raid bosses throughout July, along with the 5th Anniversary celebration and the Pokemon Go Fest. So in this post, you will find the Pokemon Go full raid schedule for this month, which includes the long-awaited return of the Mythical Pokemon Deoxys in its defense form. You will also find all the limited-time events related to the Anniversary and Pokemon Go Fest 2021.

You will have plenty of opportunities to catch some really rare Pokemon this month so get ready!

All Pokémon Go Raid Bosses – July 2021

One star raids

These are all of the one star raids currently on schedule:

  • Drowzee
  • Duskull
  • Litwick
  • Murkrow
  • Rhyhorn

Three star raids

These are all of the three-star raids currently in rotation. These raids are solo-able if you have a strong team:

  • Absol
  • Alolan Marowak
  • Pinsir
  • Tyranitar

Five star Legendary Raids

Below you will find the 5-star raids running this month, which include some of the most powerful Pokemon in the game:

  • Bidoof – July 1 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. local time
  • Defense Forme Deoxys – July 1 at 8 p.m. local time – July 16 at 10 a.m. local time
  • Mewtwo – July 16 at 10 a.m. local time until July 23 at 10 a.m. local time.

Mewtwo, along with other legendary Pokemon, will also appear on the second day of Pokemon Go Fest, July 18th. Keep reading for more information on the second of the Pokemon Go Fest 2021!

Mega Pokémon raids

Three different Mega-Evolved Pokemon will appear in Mega Raids in July. Below you will find the complete schedule:

  • Mega Houndoom – July 1 at 8 p.m. local time – July 16 at 10 a.m. local time
  • Mega Gengar – July 16 at 10 a.m. local time – July 23 at 10 a.m. local time
  • Mega Charizard X – July 23 at 10 a.m. local time – August 6 at 10 a.m. local time

Weekly Raid Hour Events

Every Wednesday in July, a Raid Hour event will occur from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. The following Pokémon will be featured.

  • Wednesday, July 7, 2021: Deoxys (Defense Forme)
  • Wednesday, July 14, 2021: Deoxys (Defense Forme)
  • Wednesday, July 21, 2021: Mewtwo
  • Wednesday, July 28, 2021: To be announced

July Research Breakthrough encounters

From Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. to Sunday, August 1, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7), players encounter Rufflet in Research Breakthrough encounters. As a bonus throughout July, you’ll also receive a free Remote Raid Pass and double EXP when you achieve a Research Breakthrough.

Spotlight Hours

There are four Tuesdays in July, so there are four Spotlight Hour events to look forward to. These events will run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time each Tuesday in July. Here’s the breakdown of the month’s featured Pokemon and in-game bonuses.

  • Tuesday, July 6, 2021 – Bulbasaur will be featured, and players will gain 2x EXP for catching Pokemon.
  • Tuesday, July 13, 2021 – Charmander will be the featured Pokemon, and players will receive 2x Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
  • Tuesday, July 20, 2021 – Squirtle will be the next Pokemon in the spotlight. Players will receive 2 Pokemon Candy for every Pokemon for transferring Pokemon.
  • Tuesday, July 27, 2021 – Natu will be featured, and players will gain 2x EXP when evolving Pokemon.

Limited-Time Events: Anniversary, GO Battle Night, Pokemon Go Fest 2021

  • Pokémon GO’s anniversary celebration: From Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon GO will celebrate its fifth anniversary!
  • GO Battle Night: On Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time, the second GO Battle Night of the season will be happening!
    • Complete up to 100 battles, receive three 3x Stardust for winning battles, complete sets of battles, and rank up in the GO Battle League. Keep in mind that the Stardust Bonus won't stack with other Stardust bonuses.
    • Pokémon GO Fest 2021: The largest event of the year is nearly here, but you still have time to buy your tickets! Pokémon GO Fest 2021 will take place on July 17 and 18, and each day will provide a unique experience. Trust us—this is an event you won’t want to miss!

  • Pokemon Go Fest 2021: Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time:
    • Legendary Pokémon will be appearing globally in five-star raids! Each Pokémon will appear during one of four themed hours on a rotation throughout the event.
      • During Wind Hour, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time, Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Latias, Latios, Regigigas, Altered Forme Giratina, Cresselia, Virizion, and Therian Forme Tornadus will be appearing in five-star raids.
      • During Lava Hour, occurring from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time, Moltres, Entei, Regirock, Groudon, Heatran, Reshiram, Terrakion, Therian Forme Landorus, and Yveltal will be appearing in five-star raids.
      • During Frost Hour, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Articuno, Suicune, Lugia, Regice, Kyogre, Palkia, and Kyurem will appear in five-star raids. Plus, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf will appear in five-star raids in the regions they normally appear in!
      • During Thunder Hour, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, Zapdos, Raikou, Registeel, Rayquaza, Dialga, Cobalion, Therian Forme Thundurus, Zekrom, and Xerneas will be appearing in five-star raids.
      • Mythical Pokémon will not appear in five-star raids.
  • Pokémon GO Fest 2021 ticket holders will enjoy the following exclusive benefits:
    • Extra 10,000 XP for winning a Raid Battle.
    • Spin Gym Photo Discs to earn up to 10 Raid Passes.
    • Complete Timed Research to earn up to eight Remote Raid Passes.
    • Pick up an event bundle containing three Remote Raid Passes! The bundle will be available in the shop on Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
