There is a big difference between Elden Ring and other Souls games. Although it is just as difficult as the others, this is the first time we have an open world in a FromSoftware game. Sometimes you can feel lost in Lands Between, which you can explore at will. Especially after you defeat the game's first big boss, Godrick the Grafted. In this article, you will learn what to do after Godrick.
Everyone expected a wonderful world from the collaboration of Hidetaka Miyezaki and George R. R. Martin. But no one guessed that this “universe” would have such a beautiful and detailed open world. When the first videos appeared, we were all excited to see what it would look like. But let me tell you, it's easy to get lost in the open world of Elden Ring.
Let us assume you did not get lost in the open world and managed to reach Stormveil Castle by following the main story. Here you will fight Godrick, the first important boss of the game. If you manage to defeat him after a long and difficult fight, it's likely that you'll suddenly fall into the void. Because the Lands Between will be completely in front of you.

Where to go after Godrick?
Here you have a few options to choose from. For example, fight tough enemies on the map to get more runes or follow the main story. Let us take a quick look at all the options.
- Caelid – the reddish & corrupt part of the Limgrave.
- Castle Morne – optional dungeon area for great items.
- Liurnia of the Lakes – a main region for the next story related demi-god fight.
Although Elden Ring is a difficult and long game, you can finish it quickly if you focus only on the main missions. But if you want to enjoy the Lands Between to the fullest, you can go different places after Godrick.
Your first option is the Caelid region, which is clearly a dangerous area from its appearance. Thousands of undead roaming the open lands will give you an unpleasant welcome. Still, collecting runes and exploring the east of Limgrave can be a great feeling. Unless you are very strong when you kill Godrick, this area might be a bit of a challenge for you.
You may have stopped at Castle Morne before Godrick. Even if that's the case, you should visit it again. Because this is one of the greatest optional dungeons in the game. It contains great items and challenging enemies. You can even find a Walking Mausoleums around Castle Morne.
Other than roam the open world, you can continue the main story where you left off. To do this, go north and travel to the Liurnia of the Lakes. The game will take you to the next big boss fight. And believe us, you'll miss Godrick terribly.
