Best Gunslinger Lost Ark Build And Class Guide

What is the best Lost Ark Gunslinger Build? The Gunslinger is an excellent character class, ranking near the top of our Tier List. It is also a strong contender to be the best PvE DPS Class in the game. Gunslingers can wield three guns and, with their high crit rates and fast movement speeds, are one of the most agile classes in the game. It's a deadly combination when played correctly.

This guide will give you an overview of Gunslinger's skills and her best engravings. And if you are hungry for more Lost Ark content, be sure to check out Borderpolar's Lost Ark section. We have guides on classes such as PaladinGunlancerSorceress, or Berserker. Bundled with some other useful guides for the game's content.

Best Gunslinger Lost Ark Build: Class Identity Overview

The core of any Lost Ark character is its Identity Skill. For the Gunslinger that means her three weapons. You can rotate through them on her Identity Gauge. This class is extremely difficult to master. It's important to understand when to switch between guns.

  • Dual pistols are Gunslinger's main utility weapon. These can be used for buffs or debuffs, and allow her to take full advantage the Gunslinger's high movement stats.
  • The Gunslinger's shotgun is a burst attack weapon that excels at dealing short-range damage. However, if you select the Time to Hunt engraving as your endgame specialization, it will be disabled.
  • This rifle is powerful and can be used to deal damage at long distances. This weapon is empowered by the Peacemaker engraving, which adds an extra function.

Gunslinger's strengths include her speed, mobility, and high damage. Her low defense and HP are the downsides of this class. It can be difficult to master her. Her positioning requirements are some of the most complicated among Lost Ark classes, so it may take some time to learn how to set up her ideal range and manage cooldowns.

Best Gunslinger Lost Ark Build: Skills Overview

Many of Gunslinger's skills are based on making use of the small arms she keeps with her. There are many options to improve her marksmanship. Gunslinger's top-tier movement speed can also be improved over time. She has the option of adding skill-based grenades to her already impressive loadout. For ease of reference, the Gunslinger's skills can be categorized by color: orange for pistol skills; blue for shotgun skills; and purple for rifle skills.

You should have 250 skill points by the time you reach level 50. This is sufficient to build a balanced skill build that will allow you to play the Endgame.

Best PvE skills for Gunslinger

The Lost Ark characters begin with a good set of early-game abilities. As you level up, new skills are often available. You can earn XP by leveling up and improving your skills. Tripods can be used to enhance skills at skill levels 4, 7, or 10. They give that skill an additional function. There are three options available for each tripod.

You can only customize a Lost Ark character's build up to Level 50. Once they reach that level, you will be able to access endgame engravings and awakening skills (see below). The path taken by each class will remain relatively linear until that point. Until then, you can customize your character's build to your liking by selecting your normal skills and their enhancements.

Best Gunslinger Lost Ark Build: Awakening Skills Overview

Awakening Skills are available to Lost Ark characters once they have reached level 50. There are two choices, but it is not an either/or proposition like Engravings. You can unlock both Awakening Skills, but you can only equip one at a time.

The Gunslinger's Awakening Skills are:

  • Eye of Twilight: This debuff moves and attacks at a speed for a brief time but, when activated, it deals damage to all enemies within its radius and inflicts both Stagger- and Weak effects. Once the skill ends, all debuffs are gone.
  • High Calibre HE Bullet The Gunslinger leaps forward while dealing an AoE strike, inflicting Stagger on enemies caught within the burst radius.

There aren't any bad picks when it comes to classes and awakening skills in Lost Ark. However, the High-Calibre He Bullet is a favorite Awakening skill for Gunslingers (especially in PvP), due to its low self-inflicted buffs and because it's so satisfying. This should be your main weapon until you need the Eye of Twilight.

Best Gunslinger Lost Ark Build: Engravings In A Nutshell

Engravings can be applied to Lost Ark characters once they reach Level 50. Engravings can be applied to Lost Ark characters as part of the endgame content. They allow you to add a variety buffs and boosts to personalize your character's set. Every class also has two unique engravings that are not available to everyone. These allow you to pick a subclass in which they can specialize.

Peacemaker and Time to hunt are the Engravings that will be used by the Gunslinger class. Both of these are excellent choices for PvE Gunslinger builds. It all boils down to which playstyle appeals to you.

  • Peacemaker can increase attack speed in Handgun Stance up to 16% and Crit rate in Shotgun Stance up to 25%. It also gives an additional damage boost of up 10% when used in Rifle Stance. Hits on enemies with less than 50% HP in Rifle Stance can stack to provide an additional damage bonus.
  • Time To Hunt increases Crit Rate for Handgun and Rifle Skills by up to 30%, but disables the Shotgun Stance.

Although it might seem unappealing to sacrifice your shotgun for Time to Hunt, you will notice that we have mainly focused on Rifle and Pistol skills in our recommendations for normal skills. The shotgun is the most ineffective of Gunslinger's weapons. Both the Gunslinger's class bonus engravings are excellent for PvE as well as PvP combat. There is no need to make them any different.

The number of engravings that you can equip varies depending on how many slots you have. Learned Engraving slots are required for class-specific bonus engravings. These slots can be obtained by reading the books that you have collected throughout your adventures in Arkesia.

The two “generic” engraving types, which can be used by all classes (damage boosters and utility buffs), are available depending on how many engraving points your character has. The number of engraving points you have is determined by the combination of all your accessories (such as rings, necklaces, earrings, and so on). You can also purchase their Ability stones as loot, or buy them from merchants. Once you have maxed your engravings points at 35, you will be able to equip three generic engravings along with your class bonus.

These engravings are especially good for Gunslinger builds:

  • Grudge can increase damage up to 20% when you are fighting Boss level monsters or higher, and reduce incoming damage by the same amount. Grudge, regardless of the class bonus you choose is the best choice for any PvE Gunslinger build.
  • Cursed doll Increases attack power up to 16% but decreases incoming healing by -25% not including natural passive recovery.
  • While keep weapon blunt increases Crit chance up to 50%, it also carries the risk that regular attacks will do 20% less damage than they should. (Please don't ask me how to keep your guns blunt. )

That's everything you need to get started with Gunslinger in Lost Ark's endgame! If you're still wondering which class you should pick, check out our tier list for some ideas. Every class has strengths and quirks of its own, so don't sweat it too much. Once you've made your decision, our guides can help you prepare for the end-game.
