Archero was one of the most amazing games released on mobile back in 2019 and it remains popular even now. In Archero you move in two-dimensional rooms and fight randomly generated enemies with your archer. The game is quite challenging, especially on hero mode, so it requires a good combination of your hero, weapon, and abilities to come out on top.
While I have not mastered the game yet, I have compiled an Archero tier list that I hope will be helpful to others trying to get in the top % across players.

Archero Tier Lists: Heroes, Abilities & Weapons
Archero Heroes Tier List
In Archero, heroes come with different base stats and skills. The default hero, Atreus, comes with no skill and low base stats so you should definitely look to replace him. Premium heroes, such as Shingen, come with improved stats and very useful unique abilities.
Tier | Hero |
---|---|
S+ | Shingen |
S | Lina, Aquea, Iris |
A | Ophelia, Bonnie, Shade, Rolla |
B | Ryan, Ayana, Sylvan, Phoren, Taranis, Meowgik, Gugu |
C | Shari, Onir, Urasil, Helix |
D | Atreus |
These are the heroes you can unlock for free by collecting 30 hero shards:
- Atreus
- Urasil
- Ophelia
- Sylvan
- Phoren
- Taranis
- Helix
- Meowgik
My general recommendation is to try to unlock any other hero than Atreus as soon as possible, to at least enjoy an extra ability.
Who is the Best Archero Hero?
In my opinion, Shingen stands out on top as an S+ tier character right now. Shingen boasts a 200 base ATK (#1 in the game) and 700 base HP (#2 in the game). His skill increases high crit damage and increases his attack speed as his HP gets lower which means that you can escape tight situations and beat harder bosses with him.
The obvious second pick is Aquaea thanks to her 180 base ATK and 800 base HP, along with the strong freeze effect on her attacks that causes slow. She enters combat form when her HP is lower than 35%, which reduces her body size by 15%, increases dodge by 15%, and crit rate by 10%, and increases freezing damage.
Both heroes provide great survivability with Singen being more offense-oriented and Aquaea being more defense-oriented.
How do I get more Archero Heroes?
Unlocking premium heroes is straightforward. It only requires you to spend real money (and that's the catch). I think
To obtain free heroes you will have to collect 30 hero shards for each hero. You can acquire those by purchasing packs using real money but you can also get them through daily rewards (Desert Ghost Event), seasonal events (such as the Christmas event) that may reward specific hero shards, or random shards.
Archero Abilities Tier List
While the ability tier list will help you choose the best abilities, it's the ability combinations that make your attacks devastating, DoT abilities are great, but combining them with Multishot, Extra Front Arrow, Ricochet, Wall Bounce, Piercing Shot, and Attack/Attack Speed buffs can greatly increase your hero's DPS and negative effect/DoT application.
This is definitely my preferred approach while combining the above with Headshot (to get one-shot monsters on occasion) and Bloodthirst (if you are not great at dodging) is a great choice.
The wall bounces and multiple projectiles are of course very useful against bosses, especially those that summon adds.
The way I play the game I mostly focus on getting multishot, ricochet, front arrow, bouncy walls, and then building up speed and dots.
I don't know how far this will get me but for now, I'm in 95% territory. I also use bouncy walls diagonal arrows, but that may be a dumb idea for some. To me, it is very helpful to clear rooms faster.
One thing I may be completely wrong about is the effect attack speed has on swords. Initially, I did not like the swords because they were rather slow but I noticed that increasing the attack speed affects them too (I'm not sure it works that way with meteors). Getting 2-3 swords with high attack speed usually makes worlds a cakewalk.
Again, don't take my word for it but that's how it was worked out for me so far.
Note: I will admit here that I barely use or even used in the past most of the abilities in the table below. I think the top tiers make some sense, but the list is by no means the gospel.
Tier | Ability |
---|---|
S | Invincibility Star Attack Speed Boost Extra Life Rage Multishot Ricochet |
A | Invincibility Star Wingman Slow Projectile Dodge Master Attack Plus Crit Plus Speed Plus Fire Sword Ice Sword Poison Sword Bolt Sword |

As you can see from our Archero weapons tier list, the best weapon in the game is the Death Scythe as it carries the highest damage in the gaming, despite being the slowest weapon in the game. It is ideal to clear enemies that are close, but you will have a slightly harder time with long-distance enemies due to its knockback (it is not the best choice for Ricochet).
However, since it carries such a high attack you will still clear enemies faster so if you get it, just use it. Its epic effect will help you breeze through rooms if you combine it with the right skills.
Brave Bow is a great starting weapon, but you will have to combine it with elemental swords as it can't clear melee enemy crowds that fast and it doesn't offer a great knockback. Its highest utility is unlocked with multishot, extra arrows, and status effects, along with the diagonal shot skill, ricochet, and wall bounce. It can clear a room with your hero barely moving up until a point in the game.
