In this guide, we’ll give you a comprehensive overview of the Polus map, so you can implement the best strategy!

What’s So Unique About Among Us Polus Map?

For starters, Polus is the third map in Among Us with lots of improvements compared to previous ones.

The Cams

The security system has been beefed up with 6 security cameras, making it more difficult for imposters to slip through the cracks. However, unlike the Skeld, you cannot see each camera’s location at a given time. You have to switch between different cameras to get a view of what’s going on there!

There are also two dozen new tasks to keep players busy. From fixing wiring to filling canisters, there’s something for everyone on this map.

Mighty Planet Base

Mighty Planet Base

But perhaps the most impressive feature of Polus is the planet base. This massive structure serves as both a home base for players and a source of entertainment. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, and each one offers something new and exciting. From tiny rooms to difficult passageways, there’s no shortage of discoveries on Polus.

Improved Venting Network

Mighty Planet Base

Polus has been enjoying a resurgence in popularity lately. One of the things that make Among Us Polus map so popular is the fact that there are a total of 12 vents on this map!

Below are some important considerations in this regard:

  • First, the vent connectivity is better than in other maps, which helps impostors to move around undetected.
  • Second, the addition of decontamination rooms slows down the pace of play, making it more challenging for crewmates to complete their tasks before being caught by the impostor.
  • Finally, the availability of a vent outside the security room makes it dangerous for crewmates to sit in the security room alone, as they could be easily caught by an impostor sneaking up behind them.

All of these factors make Polus a unique and challenging map that is sure to keep players coming back for more.

Sabotages

This icy outpost is home to four different sabotages that can trip up your crewmates and give you the edge you need to win. Here’s a quick rundown of each of the sabotages:

Seismic Instability:

Impostors do this sabotage by clicking a nuclear hazard sign that appears on the sabotage map. Crewmates must fix this sabotage within a minute by going to seismic stabilizers present near the Airdrop. However, the fix is relatively easy.

One of the crewmates must be present near each of the two stabilizers to press and hold the fingerprint scanner to get the job done. Be careful when traversing the map, as one wrong step could send you tumbling into a pit!

Communications:

Communications

This sabotage cuts off all communication between players, making it difficult to locate tasks as a crewmate. You’ll also not be able to get help from the guiding arrows. This sabotage can be frustrating for a beginner player, but it’s also one of the easier sabotages to fix.

Lights:

Lights

As if the dark and cold weren’t enough, the sabotage of the light can make it even harder to see what’s going on. This can be especially dangerous during chase scenes or when trying to complete tasks. Be sure to have a plan B in place if you’re heading into a dark area!

Doors:

Doors

The door sabotage is unique in Polus as it is independent of the rest of sabotages. Unlike the other sabotage timers on the map, its cool-down timer works independently. In other words, you can have door sabotage in place even during another sabotage. In my opinion, door sabotage is probably the most frustrating of all, as it can trap players in or out of an area easily.

Get the Most Out of Your Next Among Us Polus Map Adventure with These  8 Tips

As we have discussed, Polus is one of the challenging maps, and it offers a variety of task types that require careful planning and execution. That’s why the transition from the Skeld to Polus becomes tricky for some beginners!

If you’re looking to get the most out of your next Among Us adventure, here are 8 tips for mastering the Polus map:

Don’t Waste Time in the Reboot Wifi Task

Don’t Waste Time in the Reboot Wifi Task

The reboot task is one of the easiest tasks you’d find on Polus. You just have to go to the communication room and pull down the switch on the right side. Once you flip the switch, it requires you to wait 60 seconds before you can finish up this task.

Many newbies follow the command and stay there for 60 seconds doing nothing. A simple tip in this regard is not to waste for the timer to go off. The task doesn’t require you to complete it in a single go. Therefore, you should always rush to complete other tasks after pressing the router switch one time. And, you can come back later to complete this task without any waste of time.

Laboratory Repair Drill Done Quickly

Laboratory Repair Drill Done Quickly

One of my favorite things to do in the game is to complete the repair tasks quickly and efficiently. The Laboratory Repair Drill on the Polus map is one of the most challenging repair tasks.

Thankfully, I’ve figured out a quick and easy way to complete this task. All you need to do is click on four red squares on the corners of the screen. These squares will turn smaller as you click on them and eventually fade out.

Don’t Click-Off

Just make sure you don’t click off of the square, as that will reset the task. And if you want to save some time, you can click on multiple squares at the same time.

So next time you’re stuck on this task, just remember these simple tips and you’ll be done in no time!

Get Temperature Record Task Done Quickly With This Hack!

Get Temperature Record Task Done Quickly With This Hack!

Getting the temperature record task done quickly can be a challenge, especially if the difference between the two numbers is large. However, there is a hack that can help. Simply refresh the task 2-3 times until the difference is minimal.

This way, you won’t have to waste time trying to match figures that are far apart. With this hack, you’ll be able to complete the temperature record task quickly and easily. This trick should help you save a lot of time and frustration, so be sure to give it a try next time you’re stuck on this task.

You Don’t Have to Be Extra Precise With Monitor Tree Task in O2

Tree Task in O2

Head to O2 and locate the monitor. You’ll see that there are three colored sliders – red, yellow, and blue – each representing a different compound. Your goal is to adjust the levels of each compound so that they match the targets set by the monitor. However, many players make the mistake of trying to be too precise with this task. They move the slider until it’s exactly on the line, which can take a lot of time.

Surprise!

Fortunately, there’s no need to be so precise. The game gives you a margin of safety, so as long as the slider is close to the target line, it will count as completed. So don’t waste your time trying to be exact – just bring the slider as close to the line as possible and move on to the next task.

Do the Replace Water Jug Task the Right Way!

Do the Replace Water Jug Task the Right Way!

One of the tasks you’ll need to complete on this map is the Replace Water Jug task. It is a two-part task that takes place in the Boiler Room and Office.

First, you’ll need to press the red button as you enter the Boiler Room to transfer water from one bottle to the other. Next, you’ll need to go to the Office and spin the wheels present there to fill the water.

Hack?

A quick tip here is that you should move these wheels completely instead of just giving them a soft spin. It will result in a quicker refill which is going to save you time! Once you’ve completed this task, you’ll be one step closer to winning the game!

Fix Weather Node on Maze Done Right

Fix Weather Node on Maze Done Right

The weather node is a key part of the map and it must be fixed in order to win the game. To start, it is important to have a good understanding of the layout of the maze.

The starting point is located in the top left corner of the maze, and the goal is to reach the bottom right corner without reaching any dead ends. To get started, you will have to plan carefully on where to pass the yellow dot.

Drag the yellow node from the top and pass it from the end on the bottom right. Just remember not to enter any dead end as you’ll have to start over again.

Use Vitals in the Office to Your Advantage

Use Vitals in the Office to Your Advantage

Vitals play an important role on the Polus map in Among Us. If you want to know which of your crewmates are alive, dead, or disconnected, simply head to the office and check the vitals screen. This information can be highly useful for planning and executing strategies against impostors.

Meaning of Different Signs

On the Vitals screen there are three signs indicating the status of players on the game:

DED: This sign represents that the impostor has killed the player and the dead body remains on the map. Anyone on the map can report this body after locating it.

Ok: This symbol doesn’t represent any danger. It conveys a message that the player is still alive and active on the map.

C/D: The last sign on the Vitals screen represents three different situations:

  1. The player has left the game and is disconnected.

OR

  1. The player was ejected in any of the previous emergency meetings.

OR

  1.  He was killed by an impostor prior to the last emergency meeting.

Battery Level

In particular, make sure to keep an eye on the battery level of the vitals screen. The battery drains with usage and will automatically recharge when you complete tasks on the map. By monitoring the battery level, you can ensure that you always have access to this valuable information.

With a little planning, you can use vitals to your advantage and defeat impostors!

Use Visual Tasks to Verify Impostors

Use Visual Tasks to Verify Impostors

One of the key strategies for finding the impostor is to use visual tasks to identify them. There are two visual tasks in the Polus map – clear asteroids in weapons and submit a scan in the MedBay. Impostors cannot fake these tasks, so if you see someone doing one of these tasks you can be sure they are not the impostor.

However, for most visual tasks you need to have visual effects turned on in the game options. The good news is you can still verify a crewmate with a MedBay scan even if the visual effect option is not on! So don’t forget to use visual tasks to your advantage.

Become an Impostor Master with These 5 Tricks in Polus

All of the above-mentioned tips and tricks work great if you are a crewmate trying to win your first game on the Polus map. What if you were an impostor? How could you use different tricks to win the among us Polus map battle as an impostor? Don’t worry, below are some time-tested strategies that I have applied for a couple of months that have helped me win many games!

It’s Fun Using Door Sabotage in Polus

It’s Fun Using Door Sabotage in Polus

Are you looking for a map that offers fun opportunities for impostors to sabotage? If so, then you should definitely check out Polus. Unlike the Skeld, you can close as many doors as you want on this map as an impostor. And, simultaneously call sabotage to get a perfect kill.

Moreover, crewmates will have to open all the doors manually as there is no timer for the door sabotage. It will require lots of time for crewmates to get rid of sabotages if you utilize the door sabotage perfectly.

So, if you’re looking for a challenge and want to test your impostor skills, then be sure to give Polus a try!

Use Reactors Sabotage to Lure People Away

Use Reactors Sabotage to Lure People Away

Sabotaging the Reactors is a great way to split up the crewmates and make it difficult for them to complete tasks. When you trigger the resetting stabilizers, it will cause the crewmates to be drawn to two different locations on the map.

You can use this thing to your advantage if you are trying to trick people or lure them away from certain tasks. Additionally, it can also be used to make it more difficult for people to complete tasks by forcing them to go to the top of the map where they cannot perform any tasks. Overall, sabotaging the Reactors is a great way to create confusion and chaos among the crewmates!

Don’t Forget to Close the Doors to Electrical and O2 While You Call Lights!

Don’t Forget to Close the Doors to Electrical and O2 While You Call Lights!

As an impostor, one of your goals should be to call lights in order to prevent crewmates from completing their tasks. However, it is also important to remember to close the doors to electrical and O2 while you are calling lights.

This will ensure that crewmates have to open both doors before they can reach the sabotage, wasting their time and making it more difficult for them to fix the issue. By following this simple tip, you can give yourself a significant advantage as an impostor on the Polus map.

Office Should Be Your Most Favorite Area to Get a Kill

Office Should Be Your Most Favorite Area to Get a Kill

When it comes to the Polus map, the office is by far the best area to get a kill.

Why?

  • Well, first of all, it’s a large room with multiple entrances. So, if you’re waiting for someone to come into the room, you can easily get a kill.
  • Secondly, there are two exits from the room. So, if you want to avoid someone seeing you kill someone else, you can quickly exit the room and enter the specimen room. From there, you can vent to go straight to the lab.
  • And, if someone is following you, you can always kill them in the specimen.

So, if you’re looking for a great place to get a kill on the Polus map, be sure to head to the office.

Drill Can Also Gift You Some Easy Kills

Drill Can Also Gift You Some Easy Kills

Even though Polus is tough, there are still some ways to get an easy kill. One place to look is the Drill. While it’s in a public area, it’s possible to kill someone while they’re working on the drill and no one will notice.

Wait until everyone has completed the drill. It will ensure that there are fewer chances of other crewmates coming to the room. Then, simply close the doors to the lab and wait for your victim to re-enter. When they do, they’ll be trapped inside with you and you can easily kill them.

Just be sure to close the doors to the lab afterward so you don’t get caught! Happy hunting!
