Among Us is a murder mystery puzzler in which you and your friends work together to perform simple tasks on a spacecraft. The game Among Us combines survivor, puzzle-solving, and murder mystery elements. It depicts a crew of up to ten individuals attempting to execute basic ship maintenance duties.
The tension stems from the presence of at least one imposter who will not complete any chores and will instead attempt to kill anyone on board. Crewmembers must accomplish their duties while searching for the imposter. If they can't do so before the end of the game, the imposter wins.
How The Game Starts?
Upon arrival in the lobby, all players will be able to converse, walk around, and customize the appearance of their characters.
After enough players join and the host presses start, a 5-second countdown begins. You'll be told if you're an Impostor or a Crewmember, then your function. To prevent getting voted out, don't expose your involvement.
Everyone spawns at The Skeld, Polus, or MIRA HQ's Cafeteria, Dropship, or Launchpad. You have 10 seconds to choose one of three spawn rooms on The Airship.
The Crewmates do their designated assignments, but The Impostor blends in fakes missions sabotage and kills in secret. Crewmembers may come together to protect themselves against the Impostor.
Here's a guide to all four maps' objectives and winning tactics.
The map is named after MIRA's planet-based base, Polus. Polus was the world's largest map before The Airship arrived. It has the best eject animation of all time, with eliminated players thrown into lava.
The Among Us Polus map is the best in the game since it's balanced. Impostor and crewmate animations have been improved. Due to fewer vent doors, these animations will be visible in Among Us Polus. Let's learn about the Among Us Polus map and some conquering techniques.
The holes on this Among Us Polus map represent the entry to a unique encounter. These doors won't be easy to open. These buttons must be pressed to open these doors.
Polus Task Guide
Each map has different objectives that must be completed to complete your job quickly and win every match. As an impostor, learning all the tasks will help you blend in and safeguard your identification. Polus, the third map in the Among Us has several tasks.
Some of these tasks have to be done with some tricks and knowledge about the quick way. You should be careful about these missions as you can not win unless you complete all these tasks. Here are some tasks you'll find on the Polus map.
Boiler Room Tasks
This room has two things to do:
- Open Waterways
Open the two valves in the opposite direction of the clock until the indicator is “full.”
- Replace Water Jug
Once you've pressed the button, go to the Office and swap the empty water bottle with the one you've got.
There is only one task in the Communications section, which needs resetting the wifi router. Simply turning off the router, waiting 60 seconds, and then turning it back on will reset it.
Here, the Dropship is tasked with only two basic tasks:
To perform this primary activity, simply enter a key into the lock indicated by the arrows and then spin the key around.
The second mission is the Chart Course, in which you must simply guide the ship along the dashed lines.
In Electrical, you'll discover the following two tasks:
Four wires have been cut and are of various colors. To mend the wires, match their hues and join them together.
To transfer the data, simply go to Communications and install it there first.
The below tasks can be found in Laboratory:
When the telescope is pointed at the object shown in the lower right corner, players must shift it till they see what they want. As you move closer to the correct object, you'll hear a faster beeping noise.
Two separate tasks are required to complete this one. Press the button on the machine to begin the pouring procedure. Finally, pause for 60 seconds. Go back to the computer and choose the anomaly this time. You'll have to start over if you make the wrong choice.
Allow the device to scan you while you step on it. You can use it to show your honesty because it's a visual activity.
This room contains four missions:
Download / Upload Data
To download the data, simply navigate to the relevant area, interface with the highlighted table, and press “download.” Then, using the same technique, sprint to the Department of communication and upload the data there.
Maintain pressure on the right lever until the garbage can is empty. To finish the task, you must hold it until you are clear on what you intend to do.
Select and drag sliders by their dashed line to change the tree's structure.
Fill the canister
Place the oxygen cylinder in the tray by lowering it from the top. The filling process will begin immediately after the box is connected. To accomplish the challenge, perform this procedure repeatedly.
In this area, two quests can be found, one of which is quite attractive to a lot of the players:
To scan the card, take your swipe card from the purse at the bottom and place it over the card machine. You must flick it perfectly; if you do it too rapidly or too slowly, you will lose the attempt and have to attempt again until you succeed.
Scanning Boarding Passes
To verify your boarding pass, press the yellow icon to take it and turn it, then move it over the scanner.
If you are looking for a short task to accomplish, then downloading data is the one. You should try to keep short tasks for the end. This task hardly takes 12 seconds to download data from the office and upload it to communication.
Crewmate Tips To Win In Polus Map
It becomes slightly difficult every time you play the Polus map as a crewmate as this map is huge. Here are some tips to win as a crewmate on the Polus map.
Don't Play Unless 10 Players Join
If you are a player on the Among Us Polus map, be aware that this map is best played in groups of at least ten individuals. That's because the Among Us Polus map is extremely difficult, and the vastness of the map makes it much more difficult for the crew members to complete it. Because of this, it is best to avoid traveling alone and always go in a group.
Treat Decontamination Rooms Specially
If you ever end up in one of those decontamination rooms, please treat them concerning keeping intruders at bay for a short time.
The South Part Of The Map Is Safer
Be cautious around vents; if you're looking for a safe position on this map, the south is the greatest option compared to the north.
Keep On Watching The Vitals
This could help the rest of the crew figure out if someone is lying about their death, which would help them catch the Impostor. If you check frequently enough, crew members may become suspicious of an imposter's usage of vitals.
Imposter Tips To Win In Polus Map
Here are a few tips to win as an Imposter on the Polus map.
Make Good Use Of Extra Space
The size of Polus means that you'll need to make the most of every inch of it if you want to be able to take out wanderers. Use the vents to have a peek around the map, but be aware of the security cameras in the Admin room.
Make Friendship With Decontamination Rooms
Employ decontamination facilities to make quick getaways or keep tabs on people's whereabouts. To avoid being taken out of the game, you should always have an alibi, so don't be a loner the entire time.
Dropship Is The Best Place To Kill
The Dropship is the best venue for imposter assassinations. There are so fewer tasks in the area that most players can complete immediately upon entering. It is possible that killing an impostor in the Dropship will prohibit other crew members from visiting there if they were deceived into following the Impostor there.
Because it is your first map in Among Us, the Skeld is a great place to start. Thematically, it is one of the most common map options. There is a cafeteria where players will begin. To fulfill their tasks, they can move on to any of the other thirteen chambers.
The imposters can lock hallways in every corridor, preventing crew members from passing through until an unseen countdown ends. There's a large map in the Admin area that all players can use to see where everyone else is located on the map. Players can use vents as a useful detective tool when imposters use them to jump between areas.
Skeld Task Guide
You will have to complete the following tasks on this map.
The only thing you must do is swipe the card, and that's all. You only have to move your keycard from your wallet to the scanner at the bottom of the screen and then swipe it all over to complete this one.
There's no point in swiping it too quickly or too slowly because it won't work properly. If you don't get your swipe speed up to snuff, this is one of those chores where you'll lose time if you don't put in the work.
The Cafe is the starting point for one of those data jobs in the Admin area. To upload, choose the wifi board in the upper right corner and then press the “Upload” button. After that, you can upload it to the Admin room.
A second wire task is located on the left side of the Cafe.
This is a two-part task, with the first switch located immediately adjacent to the Upload Data task. To clear the chute, press the switch and keep the lever down. Then, return to the Storage area to restart the operation.
You must input the identical order into your keypad as seen onscreen. Complete the job by repeating this procedure five times. You'll have to start over if you make a mistake.
Click the keys in sequential order to finish this job. You'll have to begin over if you make a mistake.
The following are your three tasks:
Eliminate all the trash by lowering the lever to its lowest position.
Electrical power must be diverted to communications. Go to O2 and turn off your car's electricity before resuming normal operation.
Remove the leaves from the filter by squeezing them out.
There are two tasks to do here:
Ready the Shields
To finish the mission, simply click on each of the red panels.
Electrical power must be diverted to communications. Go to Shields and finish your power diversion by putting the button up.
Crewmate Tips To Win In Skeld Map
Complete Tasks In A Proper Manner
If you're part of a team, rotate your tasks counter-clockwise or clockwise. This will allow you to swiftly resume where you left off following meetings and prevent you from roaming blindly throughout the level.
Never Do Task In MedBAy When Alone
It's best if you can share MedBay with somebody else. Attempting this alone is dangerous because you could be electrocuted and die in the vent.
Know Where To Find Dead Bodies
The Admin table can be used to locate dead people. This is extremely effective whenever anyone contacts sabotage on the other side of the world.
Imposter Tips To Win In Skeld Map
Be Careful About Cameras
The Skeld has four cameras. The surveillance room cameras will blink red whenever anyone enters to check the feeds. As a result, strolling down the halls should be done quietly to avoid drawing attention to yourself.
Use Vents for Searching
The Electrical and Medbay areas can be searched for lone victims if you're in Security. While you're waiting for somebody to come in, you can switch between the vents. Don't leave the game powerless to kill because your kill cooldown has expired.
Use Crew Meetings To Frame Others
You'll want to maintain your composure if and when somebody eventually discovers a body. Don't just sit there and wait for the others to start blaming each other, either. As much as possible, lend your support to those making allegations against other crew members. Keep your accusations to yourself if no one else is.
The new Airship stage in Among Us is excellent for quick kills. Additionally, the Airship in Among Us contains additional missions and chambers in addition to ladders. Impostors are finding it to be a terrific map to play on why the Airship map is so popular with Impostors.
Due to its massive size, the Airship in Among Us lets imposters recruit Crewmates in remote compartments.
Over a dozen marked chambers make this map ideal for large events (plus several unnamed). Unlike previous maps, the Gap Room of the Airship features a ladder and a floating platform.
Players can navigate between four vents. Going from the Vault to the Viewing Deck is the quickest way to flip sides on the ship.
Airship Task Guide
Accept Power From Electrical
To activate power flow from left to right, turn the middle tab.
Put Away Pistols
Start picking up the indicated pistols from the middle table and drag them to the marked gun cabinet.
Put Away Rifles
Select the marked weapons on the table just above handguns, then pursue the yellow indicator to the gun cabinet. Drag them into position with your mouse.
Place the adjuster to the right of the green signal and match the wheel with the green border.
Accept Power From Electrical
Push the middle tab to activate the left-to-right flow of power.
The Airship has added a new task. Players must turn on every breaker sequentially from 1 to 7.
When a node travels through the shaded area of a ring, it fills a bar to the right. To go on to the next node, push a button when the bar is filled. Take care not to skip a step, as this could mean starting over from scratch.
Gap Room Tasks
Both the following are required:
All you have to do is tap on “Download” once you engage with the room's highlighted panel. Afterward, go to the ship's exterior and use the data upload panel. Once you access the panel, the process will begin automatically, and you'll just have to spend a few seconds for it to finish.
Divert Power to Gap Room
Activate a panel in the back of the electrical room by going there and interacting with it. To send power to the designated area, you must raise the meter in the marked area. In order to approve the power switch and finish the task, you must return to the affected room, interact with the highlighted panel, and then tap on the fuse in the center.
Crewmate Tips To Win In Airship
Utilize The Tools Correctly
Keep tabs on the location of your fellow crew members via the medical bay, security cameras, and the administrative table (navigation). These are the tools that a good team uses to beat the imposter. To avoid becoming separated in this large area, keep an eye out for your colleagues and be aware of their current whereabouts at all times.
Watch Out For Vents
Imposters have a lot more freedom on the new Airship map. They can use vents to get around in Among Us unnoticed for a long time.
Stay Away From Electricals
The lights may be sabotaged by imposters as well. In order for crew members to find their way around, this makes it much more challenging for imposters to make use of it. On the other hand, Electrical could be dangerous for crew members who desire to stay alive.
You Can Help Crewmates Even After Getting Killed
Even if you were slain in the line of duty, you could still lend a hand to your fellow passengers. The Airship's comms are sabotaged by ghosts, although ghosts may also fix them in the former maps. So, keep a sharp eye out for solutions to support your teammates' win.
Imposter Tips To Win In Airship
Know The Hiding Places
As this is a large map, imposters have numerous places to hide. You can hide in the corners of the armories and monitor the situation there. Another option is to escape into the Vault with the other simulators. Most of the time, other people won't see you or get confused, which will work.
Always Enbush In Electrical
Ambush opportunities abound in the Electrical's doors. As a result, if you're playing the Impostor, this can be a significant benefit.
Don't Kill In Meeting Room
Don't kill your fellow crew members in the meeting room. Despite its isolation, the chamber lacks a ventilation system, making it easy for whoever is viewing the security cameras to see who is in there. You can see where the remaining players are by checking the cameras in the Cockpit.
MIRA HQ, in contrast to previous maps, is shorter and more personal. This makes it the hardest of the three Among Us maps to win as an imposter in a large group. Players will either begin on the Launchpad or in the Café, depending on where they choose to spawn.
A lack of multiple hallways means that you won't be able to run around as freely as normal. In terms of venting, MIRA HQ stands out because the entire network is accessible. Get any of the eleven vents to go to any part of the map on this map.
The door log serves as a unique gameplay element on the MiraHQ map because there are no cameras. People who have walked past the censors on the ship's doors can be found in the ship's communication room.
Mira Task Guide
It's a two-step process here.
At the Launching pad, the player must just refuel the engine. This is a one-step task, as opposed to the others.
There are two sections to this task. To initiate the diagnostic procedure, push a button on the device. Once you've waited for 90 seconds, you can finish the assignment by selecting the abnormality.
It's a two-step process here.
It's a game of “Simon Says” with this one. To accomplish this exercise, connect the instructions that show on the left sidebar. You'll have to begin over if you forget to include one.
In number order, tap the keys on the keyboard. For every mistake, there's an opportunity to learn.
The Balcony can be used to clear rocks off the way. A video screen with rocks drifting around emerges when you open the task. To accomplish the mission, smash 20 asteroids by clicking on them.
The Balcony of MIRA HQ also allows players to gauge the weather. This is the only location in the game where you can do this quest. In addition, this is one of the most straightforward goals. Wait for “Done” to appear before clicking “Start.” That concludes our discussion.
Admin Room Tasks
This room's four tasks are as follows:
In order to finish this challenge, simply tap on the red hexagons.
In order to finish this challenge, you must drag the spacecraft across the dashed lines to the final destination place.
Move the power to the admin room
To shift the electricity to the administration room, you must go to the reactor and slide the command bar all the way up. Then proceed to the administrative area and press the fuse in the center of the display to reroute the power there.
Enter the ID code
Locate the control panel in the administrative area. To finish the job, tap on the code that displays on your passcode.
This room's sole purpose is to serve as a power source. You proceed to the plant and swipe the control bar to the highest position to turn on the communication systems room's power. Then, walk to the clearly communicated and push the fuse in the middle of the control panel to accept the incoming power.
Crewmate Tips To Win In Mira HQ
Never Go Alone
When feasible, crew members should keep together in groups of two or more. Because of this, imposters will have a more challenging time killing gamers unless they are all layered on top of each other.
Only Complete MedBay Task When More Players Are Watching
The MedBay's medical scan task in Mira Map, like The Skeld, will physically demonstrate to everyone that you are not an imposter. ‘ Reap the benefits of this by completing the work solely in front of a crowd. This will remove any doubt about your character and give you more significant clout in the discussion.
Enter In Decontamination Room With Group
To lessen your chances of getting killed by the imposter, approach the Decontamination with at least three other persons (or anyone you know is a crewmate).
Imposter Tips To Win In The Mira HQ
Make Excellent Use Of Vents
The tight quarters of MIRA HQ make it difficult for Imposters to isolate their targets, making it a problematic map to master. If you're looking for somebody alone, you'll need to employ the map's ventilation system to jet about the area.
Having An Albi Is More Important
There is a more significant possibility that everybody will have a basic concept of where each player is. This means having an alibi is even more crucial than on other maps, therefore, do not spend the entire game hiding in the vents. Ensure that other players can observe you wandering around and “completing” duties; alternatively, you will be simple to identify.
Always Kill In decontamination Room
The Decontamination corridor is ideal for murderers because there is a brief period during which somebody is stuck within. If you suspect somebody is entering the room alone, you should use the vent to appear, kill them, and then immediately flee to another room. This is the only spot where you will not run the risk of anyone discovering your criminal activities.
The idea that playing video games is bad for you is a common one. However, Stress relief and social skill development can be achieved when games are played in moderation and with awareness.
This narrative includes space travel, betrayal, murder, and maintenance. These are some interesting facts about the viral game Among Us.
Players must assume the roles of crew members aboard a spaceship/sky base/alien planet to guarantee their safety and success. Upper station outpost MIRA HQ is codenamed. This suggests that the crew works for MIRA.
Aside from similarities to Alien and The Thing, Among Us has more to offer gamers in its upcoming upgrades and additions.
