1. Start a Task That Requires You to Wait a minute before completion!

Among Us is all about deception and betrayal. To win, you must be able to outwit your opponents and catch them in lies. One of the best ways to win as a crewmate is to start a task that requires you to wait a minute before completion. This gives impostors more time to set off sabotages to find easy kills. 

For example, if you're inspecting the sample in MedBay, rebooting the comms on Polus, or running the ship diagnostic on the mirror, start those tasks and then wait for the impostor to strike. By doing this, you'll be able to quickly identify the impostor and put an end to their deceitful ways. 

So next time you're playing Among Us, remember to start a task that requires you to wait a minute before completing it. It might just be the key to victory.

2. Give Priority to Visual Tasks

It can be frustrating when you're one of the last ones standing, and everyone is trying to accuse you of being the impostor. If you're feeling paranoid and want to ensure you're not the next target, here's a tip: focus on visual tasks. 

This means tasks that can be easily seen and verified by other players. For example, doing a submit scan in all three maps is considered visual. Similarly, Clear Asteroids is a visual task in both the Skeld and Polus. Aside from that, you can also go for Empty Garbage and Prime Shields in the Skeld as they are considered visual in this map.

By contrast, tasks that are not visible, such as Empty Garbage in Mira HQ and Polus or Prime Shields in Mira HQ, are more likely to be sabotaged without anyone noticing. 

Therefore, it is essential to consider both the difficulty of the task and its visibility when choosing which tasks to prioritize.

3. Trust and Stick With Those Who Have Proven Themselves!

Let's now focus on something essential for winning as a crewmate: TRUST. 

In Among Us, you're constantly afraid of being caught by the impostor, and you never know who to trust. Therefore, you must stick with those players who have proven themselves to be crewmates. 

This means working together on tasks, listening to each other's suspicions, and being cautious about who you decide to separate from the group. 

Remember, the impostor only needs to kill a few people to win the game, so it's up to you and your team to ensure that doesn't happen. If you stick together and make intelligent decisions, you'll be well on your way to victory. 

4. Be Aware of Common Tasks!

As a Crewmate, it is your job to complete tasks and root out the Impostors before they can destroy the ship. However, becoming an effective Crewmate takes more than just completing tasks. It also requires awareness of the common tasks that everyone has access to. 

Among the most common tasks are Scanning the Admin Card and turning the Key on Polus. If you have these tasks, every other Crewmate likely has them as well. 

However, if you don't have these tasks and see anyone performing them, they are almost certainly Impostors trying to trick you. Immediately convene an emergency meeting to oust them!

So next time you're playing Among Us, keep an eye on those tasks – they might help you win the game.

5. Don't Let the Impostor Separate Crewmates

Separating crewmates is a common impostor tactic because it's harder for two players to watch each other's backs. And if you're the unlucky person who gets left behind, getting worked up and killed can be straightforward. So, if you see the impostor trying to separate people, don't let it happen! 

Stick with your buddy and make sure you both stay safe. If you're ever in doubt, it's always a good idea to check back on crewmates you've left alone to ensure they're still alive and well. After all, if one of them is dead, there's a good chance the other is the killer. 

So, keep your eyes peeled and your wits about to avoid becoming another impostor victim. 

6. Immediately Report the Dead Body Instead of Searching for the Killer!

You've been playing Among Us for a while now, and you're pretty good at it. You always try to be the first to report a body, but sometimes you get caught near the crime scene. What's the best way to avoid suspicion? 

The answer is simple: don't search for the killer; report the body immediately!

Here's why: a good killer is never caught next to the body. If you delay reporting, you're giving him more time to escape. Plus, if any crewmates suddenly find you near the body, they'll suspect you as the killer.

So save yourself the trouble and report the body as soon as you find it. The sooner everyone knows about it, the better our chance of catching the killer!

7. Don't Spew Whatever Is in Your Brain into Chat

Chats in Among Us can be informative but also overwhelming. You want to avoid talking too much and revealing everything about yourself, as this could give the imposters some information to use against you. 

If you're constantly talking, it's more likely that the impostor will be able to slip something by you. So, only say what's necessary and keep the chat clean. 

Also, don't tell people where you are unless you're asked. The surprise factor comes into play here. If people know where you are, they can plan accordingly.

Just try to stick to discussing points relevant to the game at hand and resist the urge to vent about a previous round or hold a grudge against another player. 

8. Polus Is an Impostor-Friendly Map

If you're playing Among Us with friends, you'll quickly learn that specific maps are better suited for impostors and others that are more Crewmate-friendly.

Polus is an impostor-friendly map, thanks to its wide-open spaces and tasks in corners that require crewmates to stick together. But impostors will try to separate them with well-timed sabotages. Here are some tips on how to survive on Polus as a Crewmate:

• First, always stay in groups. There's safety in numbers, so the more people you have with you, the better. This will make it harder for impostors to pick you off one by one. 
• Second, keep an eye on your surroundings at all times. If you see someone running off by themselves or acting suspiciously, don't hesitate to call them out. 
• And finally, if you're ever in doubt, remember that the impostor always has the advantage on Polus. So err on the side of caution and don't take any unnecessary risks.

9. Beware of Vents in Mira HQ

In Among Us, impostors have the advantage of being able to move through vents to quickly and easily get around the map and kill crewmates. As a result, crewmates must be aware of their surroundings and avoid going near vents when possible. 

In particular, Mira HQ is a map with a single-vent network that spans the entire ship. This makes it easy for impostors to move around undetected and get the jump on unsuspecting crewmates.

10. Use the Admin Map to Your Advantage

As any good Among Us player knows, the Admin map is one of your best tools for winning the game. Not only does it allow you to keep an eye on self-reports, but it also provides valuable information about player movements and habits. 

By studying the Admin map, you can better understand how players are likely to move around the map, which can be invaluable for finding and catching impostors.

11. Use Security Cameras to Locate Impostors

Security cameras are one of the essential tools a Crewmate has at their disposal. They can be used to keep an eye on key areas of the map, and you can also use them to help identify Impostors. 

However, you must use security cameras carefully to be effective. 

One essential tip is to position yourself to see the vents when you open the cams. In this way, if someone enters the MedBay and then vents immediately, you know that person is an impostor. 

Just pay attention to the cams, and you'll be able to spot the impostors in no time!

12. Swipe the Card the Right Way

You're not alone if you're having trouble with the Card Swipe task in Among Us. Many players find this task frustrating, as the card often seems to swipe too fast or too slow.

Fortunately, there's an easy fix. To solve this problem, take the card and quickly swipe it left and right five times to get the job done seamlessly. Another option is to swipe the card halfway down the machine, then suddenly increase the speed to finish the job perfectly.

This tip will help you quickly complete the task and win the game!

13. Upload Tasks Are 100% Fake in the Beginning!

It's a classic move in Among Us: faking an upload task at the beginning of the game to try and gain some trust from your fellow crewmates. But don't be fooled! If you see someone doing this, they are 100% faking it.

Why? 

Because you have to download files first before uploading them, there are five different download locations (including cafeteria, weapons, navigation, communication, and electrical). In contrast, there is only one upload location inside the admin room. 

So if someone is faking the Upload task, they're probably trying to mislead you into thinking they're a Crewmate when they're an Imposter. So be careful!

14. Do the Steer Navigation Task the Right Way

When completing the steer navigation task in Among Us, time is of the essence. The faster you can complete the task, the better off you'll be. 

And while it may be tempting to drag the lines into place, that's not the most efficient way to go about it. 

Instead, tap in the center of the screen, and the lines will automatically align. This will save you valuable seconds that could make all the difference in the game. So next time you're faced with this task, remember to tap, not drag. It could just be the key to victory.

15.  200 – IQ Tip While Playing Mira HQ

When playing Among Us in Mira HQ, it's best to stand close to the right walls of either communication or Medbay. That way, you'll be able to see a splash when an impostor kills another crewmate on the other side. You can quickly run to the cafeteria to detect the impostor easily.

In addition, standing close to the right walls will also give you a better view of the impostor's movements, making it easier to catch them in the act.

16. Don't Wait for the Animation to Get Over While Doing the Inspect Sample Task

If you're playing Among Us as a Crewmate, one of your main tasks is to complete the ‘Inspect Sample' task in MedBay. Many players make the mistake of waiting for the animation to finish before closing the task. 

There's no need for that. 

As soon as you press the button, you can close the task and come back after a minute to select the anomaly. Doing this will save valuable time and increase your chances of winning the game. So, next time you're playing Among Us, remember to close the ‘Inspect Sample' task as soon as you've started it.

17. Using This Simple Trick Is The Key to Winning in Polus!

On Polus, there is a common task that every crewmate has to complete. However, each crewmate has a different key for their respective hole. 

So, if you're the first member, you'll have the key for the first hole. You'll have the key for the second hole if you're the second member. And so forth. Since the impostor won't have this task, you can ask everyone about their keyhole number to figure out who the impostor is. 

With this trick, you'll be one step closer to winning the game!

18. Don't Forget These Three Points While Performing the Fix Wire Task!

When performing the Fix Wire task in Among Us, keeping a few things in mind is essential. 

• First, the task can never start at the cafeteria or security. 
• Electrical can also never be the 2nd or 3rd step. So, if you see someone fix the wires at admin and then go to electrical, they are faking the task. 
• Additionally, be sure to put on a good show when performing the task! Make it look like you're struggling with the wires, and take your time. This will help to convince any suspicious teammates that you're doing the task. 

If you follow these three simple tips, you will be well on becoming a master of the Fix Wire task. 

19. Door Logs are not a Good Way to Locate Impostors

Instead of relying on door logs to locate impostors, stand at the center of the Y and keep track of who went towards which side. 

For instance, if yellow and pink went towards the bottom left side and one of them is killed when you go and check on them, you know who the impostor is. 

This method is more foolproof and reliable than door logs, which can be tampered with or simply fail to give accurate information. Plus, it's much easier to keep track of people this way – all you need to do is remember who went where. 

20. Dummy Models Inside the Reactor Represent Fake Tasks!

If you notice anyone in your group interacting with a model inside the reactor or otherwise doing something that doesn't make sense, there's a good chance that they are faking it and trying to fool everyone else.

So if you ever stumble across such a situation, keep in mind that the model inside the reactor represents a fake task – it's just a dummy! 

Thus, it is important to keep a sharp eye out for anyone who might be pretending to work on the reactor model to avoid falling into any traps or being tricked by disguised threats. By being vigilant and always staying on alert for signs of impostors, you can help protect yourself, your teammates, and the overall integrity of your team's efforts. 

21. Keep an Eye on People Doing the Download Task

One of the most important things to remember as a crewmate in Among Us is that more than two people cannot have the same download task. If you see three people doing the download task at the same place, one of them is probably the impostor.

There are a total of 5 download locations and one upload location. So, don't get confused between the download and upload location. Keep an eye on people who seem to be spending an unusually long time at any particular task, especially if they're not supposed to be there. 

Pay attention to where people are and what they're doing, and you'll be one step ahead of the impostor.

22. Use the Task Bar to Identify Impostors

As an active crew member on your ship, it is crucial always to be aware of what is happening around you. Whether performing a single task mission or interacting with other crew members, keeping an eye on the taskbar on your screen is essential for staying informed and alert.

If the taskbar shows that someone's workload is increasing, this indicates that they are working alone as part of a single task mission. Therefore, they are less likely to be an impostor!

On the other hand, if there is no change in the taskbar when someone else performs a single task mission, then you can assume that they are not truly part of the crew. This may indicate that they are trying to infiltrate your ranks and engage in nefarious activities aboard your vessel.

23. Do This Trick to Identify Impostors When Visual Tasks Are Turned Off!

When visual tasks are turned off, one of the best ways to verify your teammates is by performing the same task as they are doing. By following their lead, you can quickly and easily ensure that they are in fact, who they say they are. 

If the game asks you to wait until your CREWMATE has completed its task, then that individual is undoubtedly an actual member of your team. So if you need to identify impostors when visual tasks have been deactivated confidently, simply perform the same action as your purported teammates and see what happens. 

With this simple trick, you can rest assured that no one is trying to deceive or sabotage you on Among Us!

24. The Magic of Security Cameras

When finding an edge in hostile environments, the cameras in the security room can help you see everything, even when lights are turned off. This is important when the saboteur has managed to darken your section with a blackout – because security cams will show you a crystal clear picture of what's happening outside. 

You can quickly pinpoint threats and react accordingly, giving you a crucial advantage in any hunt for traitorous scum among our ranks. So the next time you face the threat of sabotage, keep this tip in mind to stay ahead of the enemy.

25. Always Remember Average Task Times to Point Out Impostors Faking Tasks!

When completing tasks promptly, it's crucial always to be aware of average task times. By estimating how long a given task should take, you can easily spot impostors who only pretend to do their work.

For instance, uploading tasks typically take just 9 seconds on average. So if someone gets up before this time or walks away early, there's a good chance they aren't doing the work. In other words, impostors are faking it, and by having an accurate understanding of average task times, you can more easily identify these impostors and prevent them from gaming the system.
