Now, keep in mind that torrenting itself is not illegal and it is a great way to download large files without worrying about losing your connection. The idea behind torrents is pretty simple. Instead of downloading files from a centralized server, torrents give downloaders the ability to download pieces of the files from different users that already have them, using free torrent clients. - Website traffic: High website traffic and popularity condone the trustworthiness of the torrent website, High popularity leads to content variety too and an active community that will moderate the uploaded content and report any problems with torrents. Moreover, this usually leads to a higher seeder/leecher ratio. Seeders are the users that own the full file you want to download while leechers are the ones downloading pieces of it. The more seeders a torrent, the more decentralized and consequently faster and reliable its download be.
