Intel i9-11900K and i7-11700K show up in Geekbench 5

Intel's new 11th generation flagship CPU, the Intel i9-11900K, showed up today in the Geekbench 5 benchmark results. The i9-11900K achieve a 1,892 Single-Core score and a 10,394 Multi-Core score. The new Intel flagship features 8 cores and 16 threads, compared to last generation's i9-10900K, which featured 10 cores and 20 threads and maximum boost clock speed of 5.3GHz. The new CPU demonstrated a maximum boost clock frequency of 5.28GHz.

Meanwhile, the Intel i7-11700K also showed up, as it seems to be tested by China-based motherboard manufacturer Colorful. It scored 1,551 on Geekbench 5 Single-Core and 8,849 on the Multi-Core test.

For the sake of comparison, the AMD 5950X scores 1,682 in Single-Core and 16,726 in Multi-Core, while featuring 16 cores and 32 threads.

We have already seen alleged leaks of the new Intel i9-11900K CPU in the CPU-Z benchmarks in the past.

Intel's new desktop CPUs are expected to be released in late March and the question remains whether they will be able to challenge AMD and quite possibly Apple desktop version of the M chipset.
